Life is a pic-a-nic.

– Yogi Bear

The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney is the epitome of  old-fashioned, romantic picnicking.

Perched right on the shores of Sydney Harbour, THE GARDENS ARE just a hop, skip and jump from iconic Sydney landmarks.

At Pop Up Picnic, we’ve planned many-a picnic date or party  at the Gardens.

Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney

Ahh, the soft, mossy grass and cool shade of the iconic Sydney Botanic Gardens is the stuff of poetry and picture books. Add to that a picnic with family and friends, and you are truly living the dream. Plan a Pop Up Picnic hamper for your day! All that is left is to enjoy the natural playground of a perfect picnic location!

We can deliver your hamper or individual lunch boxes to your patch, or you can collect them from our nearby headquarters in Annandale. Bookings are essential for groups of 20 or more, but we can assist with that and any other arrangements you need. Chat to us—the picnic people—and let us help you make some midsummer magic under the shade of these ancient trees.

A Picnickers Paradise

Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens is full of secluded nooks, shady hideaways and soft grassy patches for al fresco lazing, sandwiches and sunshine. From the beautiful rose garden, tropical rainforest, the oriental and herb gardens. To the greenhouses and grounds, the spaces are dotted with statues and sculptures and complemented by the soothing sounds of the ornamental ponds and streams. There’s always something to discover in this historical, natural wonderland.

I love those lazy summer days, barefoot and laid out in the shade with you.

The Gardens are a great place to make fantastic memories. Surrounded by nature and the iconic harbour so nearby, and with lots of room to roam free, it’s perfect for a kid’s picnic party. Pop Up Picnics have our popular picnic hampers for children that packs in energising, nutritional goodness with a yummy ham sandwich and healthy treats.

Escape the Office

Plan a tranquil escape from the city with your colleagues. Reward yourselves for a job well done, or to celebrate a team-member’s special day with an afternoon picnic at the Sydney Botanical Gardens.

There’s something for everyone when you choose from our three different Pop Up Picnic Lunch Box picnic hampers which each come with a Sonoma artisan baguette (chicken, roast beef or vegetarian), herb roasted veggies with lemon soy dressing, a drink and our signature Naughty Nougat chocolate mousse dessert.

Otherwise, sharing is caring with our picnic hampers for groups that provide a spread with enough for everyone. We have five different picnic hamper menus (and we will happily substitute for dietary needs). So, you can unpack a delicious smorgasbord and lazily graze the Sydney afternoon away with good food and good company.
